FAQ

What is Facial Exercise?

Facial exercise is an ancient beauty tradition, which is said to have been practiced by Cleopatra, Helen of Troy, Empress Josephine and Madame DuBarry, all idols of their eras, legendary for their ageless beauty.  In modern times, it has been practiced by Gloria Swanson and many of the movie stars of her era.  While traveling in Europe, Linda witnessed some renowned beauties of the day practicing these beauty rituals before photo shoots and theatrical performances.

Why isn't facial exercise widely known?

As the Sixties dawned, people began to search for quick fixes for jowls and droops, hoping to find a face-lift in a jar. The ancient beauty secrets, handed down through the ages were regarded as "old wives' tales". Since then, countless millions have turned to surgery and the increasingly numerous procedures available through doctors.

One increasingly popular method of creating a natural facelift is the practice of some form of facial exercise.

There are several good facial exercise programs available, which are sold through infomercials. In spite of several respected independent studies, medical professionals sometimes write off facial exercise. Is it because they prefer chemicals and surgery to natural exercise? Perhaps that is more profitable for them.   Nevertheless, quite a few doctors have endorsed facial exercises for their patients, before and after surgery. It just makes sense that facial muscles would respond to exercise just as any other muscle in the body.

Do crèmes and lotions help?

Yes and no.  Crèmes and lotions are very good for the seven layers of skin.  They are essential for keeping your skin soft and supple and to counteract dryness, fine lines or blemishes.   They will soften lines around the lips and eyes, but they can do very little for marionette lines and sagging eyebrows. Moreover, they will not lift your sagging jowls or redefine your cheeks. These problems must be solved by surgery, or by its only real alternative, facial exercise.

If you think a cream is going to help sagging, then why don't you rub on your abs?  Because we all know that even if we rub a $1500 jar of crème on our abs, the only way they are going to get toned is by exercise. Perhaps sad, but true.

HOW Long before I see results.

Believe it or not, you will see immediate results in a rosier complexion, fuller lips and brighter eyes.  These effects will go away after a little while, but they will last longer and longer the more you practice the routine.  Growing older is a continuing process that we all experience and any procedures whether surgical and non-surgical require maintenance over time. Eventually the results will become permanent and you will only have to practice a few times a week to keep the effect.
