Linda Morand is a former Ford model and a Fashion and Beauty Iconographer. She was a fashion model in the Sixties and Seventies, participating in iconic fashion trends. She appeared in several iconic images that are still relevant today, working with Pierre Cardin, Karl Lagerfeld, Helmut Newton, Gosta Petersen, Vogue Italia, Vogue Paris, Harper’s Bazaar Italia, etc.
Now she spearheads a lively group of Industry Insiders, including top models, photographers, beauty artists, agents and the leading archivists in the world who identify and categorize the great Fashion and Beauty images of the Mid-Twentieth Century and learn the stories behind the iconic images.
Morand’s website miniMadMOD60shas been quietly archiving the great fashion and beauty industry professionals and their published work history from the 1950s to the 1980s. Since 2006, her group has brought to light thousands of the Twentieth Century's most beautiful and interesting fashion and beauty images, with the express interest in cataloging the models by name and the date of the pictures.
The miniModMAD60s group's efforts have inspired museum exhibits, books, documentaries, magazine layouts and several models reunions around the country. By ensuring that as many images as possible are kept in the public eye and memory, the creators hope to provide for future generations with record of how people looked, what constituted “fashion”, what iconic images spoke of the culture and ethos of a decade, and what “look” or “image” appealed to people in the Fifties, Sixties and Seventies.
